Brancato’s Catering was founded in 1942 By Chuck Robinson as Robinson Catering, but was purchased by the Brancato family in 1969.
We have a 25,000+sq ft facility, which includes a large kitchen, with a full bakery area as well as multiple ovens, fryers, skillets, steam kettles. We have a large dish room facility capable of handling large volumes. We have multiple walk in freezers and refrigerators, as well as a large dry storage area. We have a warehouse with dock capacity for multiple trucks at one time, and substantial amount of storage space. This is why we are able to give you the best price, without having to outsource space or equipment.
Our head chef and his team are more than qualified. They all have extensive cooking backgrounds as well as culinary training. They are constantly staying abreast to the latest trends and creating new menus + dishes.
Our executive chef, Jason Curcio, attended the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, NY. He has worked at restaurants in New Orleans and in Park City Utah, at the Winter Olympics. Since moving to Kansas City, he was the first executive chef at Sprint Center. We also have multiple sous chefs that have gained experience from successful restaurants and programs abroad and in the area. We are very proud to say that our chefs have been with us for many years and understand the quality we demand for every event.
We take pride in our ability to cook any style of food. We have menus that range from rustic classic comfort foods, to family italian recipes, excellent latin inspired dishes, authentic KC style bbq and mouthwatering, fork-tender prime rib. We do not limit our menus to one particular style of cooking. We also have the ability to create custom menus. We have a very creative culinary team that can develop mouth watering dishes paired with beautiful presentations sure to impress all guests at your event.
The staff at Brancato’s Catering pride themselves on their work and the company they work for. Many of our employees have been with the company for more than 10 years. When we are looking to bring someone new to our team, we look at past credentials of our staff when we hire. Many of our operations staff have worked in various restaurants and hotels, and have been through culinary training from recognized culinary institutes including Johnson County Community College and the CIA (Culinary Institute of America). Many of our staff members are Serv-Safe certified and carry proper food handling cards.
Our staff is trained to execute parties of any type or size. Several of our chefs are trained to expertly prepare our products on-site. Whether it is passed hors’ devours or a picnic with hot dogs our staff will execute all items as expected in a prompt and efficient manner to help make your event a success.
We employ multiple full time event planners who are experienced in both catering and event rental needs. They are comfortable handling any type or size event.
Brancato’s Catering holds the proper health permits required. We are routinely inspected and always pass with high marks. We also are fully insured.
We own majority of our own equipment when it comes to linens, china, flatware, glassware, table top items. But don’t worry, we have been in the event planning business for 50 years and we can take assist with the coordination of tents, tables, chairs, dance floor, stages, lighting, entertainment and more
All of our event pricing includes the equipment we need to execute your event at no extra cost to you. If you require additional rentals such as table linens, décor pieces, light, etc, those items will be itemized on your proposal as soon as we are made aware of those needs.
We have a strict uniform policy, and our staff is always in uniform no matter what type of event they are catering. We have a variety of uniform styles to compliment all types of events.
