How many years have you been catering?

Brancato’s Catering was founded in 1942 By Chuck Robinson as Robinson Catering, but was purchased by the Brancato family in 1969. 

So over 50 Years.

Are you a member of the Leading Caterers of America?

Yes we are!

The LCA offers a unique and innovative solution for users of catering services, whether for an individual celebration in a single location, or an entire series of events throughout North America. 

Have you ever catered an event similar to mine?

Yes, in over 50 years of experience we have catered every type of event, large or small. We are confident that we can handle your event with ease due to our vast amount of experience.

Do you have references?

We have been in business for over 50 years, and have continued to serve many of the same customers for many decades. Our reputation and references will tell you about our quality and high level of service. You can find a long list of References / Reviews in our menu packet or on our website.

Do you offer planning services?

We employ 12 full time event planners, which are experienced in both catering and party rental needs. They are comfortable handling any type or size event.

Is your food prepared by a qualified chef?

Our Executive Chef and his team are more than qualified. They all have extensive cooking backgrounds as well as culinary training. They are constantly staying abreast to the latest trends, and creating new menu ideas.

What is your chef’s background or experience?

Our executive chef attended the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, NY. He has worked at restaurants in New Orleans and in Park City, Utah, at the Winter Olympics. Since moving to Kansas City, he was the first Executive Chef at Sprint Center. Now we are happy to have him and his experience with us. We also have multiple Sous Chefs that have gained experience from successful restaurants and programs abroad and in the area. We are very proud to say that our chefs have been with us for many years and understand the quality we demand.

Do you work out of a house or do you have a fully equipped commissary?

We have a 40,000+sq ft facility, which includes a large kitchen, with a full bakery area as well as multiple ovens, fryers, skillets, steam kettles. We have a large dish room facility capable of handling large volumes. We have multiple walk in freezers and refrigerators, as well as a large dry storage area. We have a warehouse with dock capacity for at least 10 trucks at one time, and substantial amount of storage space. This is why we are able to give you the best price, without having to outsource space or equipment.

How versatile is the menu?

We pride our company with the ability to cook any style of food. We have menus that range from down home country food, to secret Italian recipes, excellent Mexican food, KC style BBQ, or prime rib. We do not limit our menus to one particular style of cooking. We also have the ability to custom design menus with items that may not be on our print menus. We have a very creative culinary team that can develop not only mouth watering dishes, but dishes that will impress your guest’s eye.

How experienced is the staff?

The staff at Brancato’s Catering prides themselves on their work and takes pride in the company they work for. Many of our employees have been with the company for over 10 years, and most of them have been with us for over 5 years. Besides being with our company for an extensive period of time, we look at past credentials of our staff when we hire. Many of our caterers have worked in various restaurants and hotels, and have been through culinary training from recognized culinary institutes including Johnson County Community College and the CIA (Culinary Institute of America). Many of our staff members are Serv-Safe certified and carry proper food handling cards.

How versatile is the staff?

Our staff is trained to execute parties of any type or size. We also have off premise chefs that are trained to cook on site, if necessary. Whether it is passed hors’ devours or a picnic with hot dogs our staff will execute in the most professional manner.

Are you fully insured and licensed?

Brancato’s Catering holds the proper health permits required. We are routinely inspected and always pass with high marks. We also are fully insured.

Do you own your own equipment?

We own majority of our own equipment when it comes to linens, china, flatware, glassware, table top items.  But don't worry, we have been in the event planning business for the past 50 years, we can take care of tents, tables, chairs, dance floor, stages, lighting, entertainment and more

Will I be billed for any extra charges your company will spend to get the equipment it needs?

There are never hidden charges for catering equipment, such as chaffers or food transporting hot boxes. The only extra charges will be for extra items ordered, and that will be stated well in advance.

Do you have uniforms for your staff?

We have a strict uniform policy, and our staff is always in uniform no matter what type of event they are catering. We have different types and styles of uniforms to compliment all types of events.

Will several different companies have to coordinate their efforts for our event, or is the catering service handling all our event needs?

Brancato’s Catering has the luxury of relying on a staff that is trained not only in catering, but in every aspect of event planning.  We also have many contacts in the city, and can fulfill any desire you may have for your event. We are way more than just a catering company!

Will the owner of the company be involved with the planning of my event?

Our owners are very involved with the day to day operations of the company. They personally have their hand in the planning and execution process of every party. This is why we are able to maintain our high quality and outstanding reputation.
