The Bottle House

The iconic Coca-Cola symbol has watched over the corner of 2nd and Walnut since Jack Going and S.E. Elmore established a home for the Ottawa Coca-Cola Bottling Company in 1941. Their building brought refreshment and enjoyment to the friendly midwestern community. The large floor to ceiling windows allowed spectators to observe the Coca-Cola bottling process.

In the years to follow, this historic building continued to support and welcome the community in a variety of fashions from a local Town and Country Supply store to an Antique Mall and soda shop. As time passed the hint of historic origins were covered by “modernization” and sadly overlooked.

In 2016, the building was acquired by a group of local investors who were committed to bringing the building back to its historic roots with 21st century luxuries. Today, The Bottle House is a dramatic 10,000sq ft. event venue with rustic industrial decor. Its original exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors, and open wood beam ceilings are an awe inspiring backdrop to its state of the art audio visual system and custom copper bar.

The spacious interior is a welcoming environment ready to play a role in the next chapter of Your Story. The Bottle House’s old-meets-new interior design seamlessly blends historical significance with modern day elegance for a charm that can be dressed up or down for any event.

Located just a quick 30 minute drive from Kansas City, we can comfortably accommodate up to 350 guests for a seated event and up to 499 for a classy cocktail event.
